WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO ATTEND SHOWS!!!
Committee’s reports: Parade Committee Update provided by Walter Chitwood Caseyville Parade ~ June 19th 2009 Lebanon Parade ~ July 10th and 11th St. Jacob ~ July 17th and 18th Maschotah ~ August 1st and 2nd Walter got the Caseyville application for the parade and will get it filled out. IN ORDER TO RIDE AT PARADES WE NEED POOPER SCOOPERS!!! Trail Ride Committee Update provided by Sharon Set up dates for trail rides. They will be as followed, June 21st at Ramsey Park October 24th at Greensfelder Trail Ride June 21st at Ramsey arrive around 10:00 be ready to ride at 10:30, bring a dish and the club will provide the meat. Please let Sharon know if you are coming she would like to try to get a count. Contact Sharon at 618-920-1540 Please try to join in the fun should be a good time.... The trail ride at Greensfelder will cost .00 for the shelter. New Business: We need more ideas to attract people to the shows. There were only about 20 horses at the last speed show. If you have any ideas about how we can get more people to attend please contact the secretary (Victoria Provost), and she will pass them on. There had been a discussion about changing the date for the Ramsey park trail ride from the 21st of June, to the 20th of June. The final decision was to keep it the same date due to the fact there was only 11 days to the ride and we thought that was not enough notice to change it. Cindy announced that the May 2nd show workers had been moved to the rain date of October 3rd. If you were suppose to work the May 2nd show and you can’t work the October 3rd show you need to get a hold Cindy {(618) 345-5601} and change your work date. Good job to Michelle and Mickey on the 50/50 raffle sales for the past speed show. * WELCOME ALL NEW MEMBERS* Old Business: There were a lot of people that signed up to work the past shows and never showed up. If you are signed up to work a show and can’t make it please contact Cindy {(618) 345-5601} to be able to change your work date.
New Business From February 09
There was a work date set up on March 28th at 10am, with a rain date of April 4th 10am. We also discussed supplies needed for the workday.
Show dates will be as the following: Pleasure shows: 4/18 5/16 6/13 8/8 8/29 Speed Shows: 5/2 6/6 7/11 8/15 9/19 Rain Dates: 10/3 10/10 10/17 Bylaws Changes: We will be changing Family membership as the members that reside in the household only. 1st by Mike Noonan 2nd by Cindy. We also will be adding No Alcohol On The Show Grounds to the show bills. Show Rules Changes: Tom Made a motion to change # 13 to all judges rulings are final. #13 will not change. 17 and under classes will HAVE to wear a helmet. 1st by Linda 2nd by Fred. You must be 18 as of Jan. 1st, 2009 to not have to wear a helmet, even if you turn 18 through the season you still must wear helmet. We will be discussing the annual Fun and Run show at the next meeting. We will also be discussing the show bill at the next meeting. Talked about getting sponsors by the March 10th meeting.
